Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the International Rubber Conference 2026 (IRC2026 Aichi) will be held for five days from November 2 (Mon) to 6 (Fri) at the Aichi International Exhibition Center (Aichi Sky Expo) in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture.

The International Rubber Conference (IRC) is intended to gather the world's scientists and engineers dealing with rubber and elastomers and to promote international exchange through presentations and discussions on research findings in this area, from basics to applications. The conference is also aimed at going beyond the field of rubber and elastomers to contribute to the progress and development of science and technology in the broader context. This conference will be the sixth one held in Japan 10 years after the last one, following Tokyo in 1975, Kyoto in 1985, Kobe in 1995, Yokohama in 2005, and Kitakyushu in 2016.

The Rubber & Elastomer Technical Exhibition will also be organized with the IRC. Along with the IRC, this large-scale exhibition, drawing over 4,500 visitors, is acknowledged as one of the world's leading events in rubber and elastomers.

Global new rubber production and consumption tend to increase, with Asia accounting for more than half of the total. Under these circumstances, the IRC and Rubber & Elastomer Technical Exhibition to be held in this country will be an ideal venue to showcase the high level of Japan's rubber science and technology, as well as an excellent opportunity to introduce your scientific and technical achievements widely and to promote your products. Moreover, providing young engineers who will shape the industry's future with an opportunity to communicate directly with many renowned foreign scientists and engineers will contribute to the further international development and improvement of Japan's rubber and elastomer industry. However, it will also be incredibly significant in terms of international cooperation.

Thus, we ask for the kind understanding and warm support of all concerned parties and members of our Society in hosting this international conference.
